Q2 announced the 100% acquisition of the Cisco Lithium Property on February 29, 2024.

About the Cisco Project

The Cisco Property is comprised of 222 mineral claims and is 11,374 hectares (“ha”) in size. It is located less than 10 kilometres (“km”) east of the Billy Diamond Highway, and is approximately 150 km north of Matagami, a small town that contains the closest rail link to much of James Bay (Figure 2). The Property lies within the greater Nemaska Community lands of the Eeyou Itschee Territory, James Bay, Quebec.

The Property is situated along the Frotet Evans Greenstone Belt, comprised of a volcanic package dominated by mafic to felsic metavolcanic rocks, of the southern James Bay Lithium District, the same belt that hosts the Sirmac and Moblan lithium deposits, located 130 km and 180 km away, respectively.

During 2023 and 2024 the Property vendors discovered the lithium zone by collecting 28 rock samples, 21 of which returned over 1.0% Li2O (Figure 3). The results are within a 1.2 km by 1.5 km area, clustered into six separate mineralized zones.

In the fall of 2023, the Property vendors drilled six holes, totaling 1,287 m, at one of the six mineralized zones. The drilling confirmed a strike length of approximately 220 m and open along strike in both directions and down-dip. The first three holes were drilled towards the south and are interpreted to have undercut the mineralized pegmatite that is also dipping to the south, thus did not intersect the large outcrops that were observed from surface.

Limited follow up drilling successfully intersected multiple, wide spodumene-bearing pegmatites from surface (mapped in Figure 3, with complete results in Table 2). Including:

  • CS-23-05 consisting of five separate pegmatite intervals with a cumulative 115.4 m at 1.21% Li2O.
  • CS-23-06 consisting of three separate pegmatite intervals with a cumulative 57.8 m at 1.27% Li2O.
  • CS-23-04 consisting of a continuous interval of 31.5 m at 1.30% Li2O.

Due to drill rig issues, drill hole CS-23-05 ended in mineralized pegmatite and was followed up with hole CS-23-06 at a shallower dip (Figure 4). The result of the two holes from the same drill pad infers that the pegmatite is dipping to the south, and the intervals intersected are possibly the near true thickness of the mineralized pegmatite. Additional drilling will need to be conducted to confirm this theory.

Q2 Metals Announces Assay Results from Its 2023 Inaugural Drill Program at the Mia Lithium Property, James Bay Territory, Quebec, Canada

Highlights:

  • Confirmed presence of wide spodumene-mineralized pegmatites containing high grade intervals at the Mia and Carte zones:
  • Mia Zone – 17.8 m at 1.51% Li2O, including 12.2 m of 2.16% Li2O (MIA23-004)
  • Carte Zone – 7.3 m at 0.94% Li2O, including 4.4 m of 1.40% Li2O (MIA23-007)
  • Continuity of mineralization at the Mia 1 & 2 zones.
  • Core assay results remain to be reported for the 20 drill holes from the Company’s approximately 3,085 m Winter 2024 Drill Program.

Vancouver, British Columbia–(ACN Newswire – April 25, 2024) – Q2 Metals Corp. (TSXV: QTWO) (OTCQB: QUEXF) (FSE: 458) (“Q2” or the “Company“) is pleased to announce core assay results of the inaugural drill program completed in fall of 2023 at the Company’s wholly owned, 8,668 hectare (“ha”) Mia Lithium Property (the “Property“) located in the Eeyou Istchee James Bay Territory of Quebec. The targeted drill area for the inaugural program was the approximately 10-kilometre-long Mia Lithium Exploration Trend (the “Mia Trend“) which is located 22 kilometres (“km”) from the Billy Diamond Highway, proximal to major hydro-powerline and all-season road infrastructure.

Neil McCallum, VP Exploration, stated: “Core assay results received to date indicate our 2023 drill program was successful in confirming spodumene mineralization in the pegmatites at the Mia Property. Using innovative targeting methods, our 2023 drill program on the Mia Trend has revealed that pegmatites are in some cases complex and variably mineralized at depth and in other cases, such as at Mia-1/2 and Carte, the pegmatite bodies have a simple geometry and consistent mineralization. We are very encouraged with these first drill results and believe we have only just begun to unlock the potential of the Mia Property.”

The Mia Trend comprises an approximately 10-km-long series of sub-parallel pegmatite intrusions, of which there are 11 demonstrated spodumene mineralized zones. The individual pegmatite bodies vary in thickness, between a few metres (“m”) and over 20 m in some cases.

The primary objective of the drill program was to drill test along the Mia Trend, with a total of 31 drill holes completed for approximately 5,601 m. One drill rig was used to test the main Mia 1, 2 & 3 zones (the “Mia Zone”) (17 holes) while the other rig tested the Carte Zone (eight holes) and the greater Mia Trend (six holes at zones Mia 7,8 & 9). The Mia Zone represents the most significant finding of the inaugural program, as outlined below. The wide spacing of the drill holes on the greater Mia Trend of between 500 m and 2.8 kms represents several opportunities for additional discoveries that are similar to the well-mineralized pegmatite at the Mia Zone.

Drill results at the Mia Zone confirmed spodumene mineralization within a continuous pegmatite zone that dips gently to the north. Thickness of the mineralized zone varies from 8 and 20 m, and extends roughly 600 m east-west and roughly 375 m north-south. The pegmatite body appears to be open to the west, east and north.

Analytical Methods and QA/QC Protocols

All drill core samples were shipped to SGS Canada’s preparation facility in Val D’Or, Quebec, for standard sample preparation (code PRP89) which includes drying at 105°C, crush to 75% passing 2 mm, riffle split 250 g, and pulverize 85% passing 75 microns. The pulps were shipped by air to SGS Canada’s laboratory in Burnaby, BC, where the samples were homogenized and subsequently analyzed for multi-element (including Li and Ta) using sodium peroxide fusion with ICP-AES/MS finish (code GE_ICM91A50).

A Quality Assurance / Quality Control protocol following industry best practices was incorporated into the sampling program. The review process indicated numerous inconsistencies and thus a re-evaluation of the affected results was conducted. Upon final acceptance by the QP, the results have been promptly reported herein.

  • The development of bonding wires that contribute to highly reliable high-frequency wireless communication circuits and the creation of a hydrogen-derived electron carrier that enables direct use of electrons when needed received awards

TOKYO, Mar 29, 2024 – (JCN Newswire) – The TANAKA Memorial Foundation’s Representative Director, Hideya Okamoto, announced the recipients of the FY2023 Precious Metals Research Grants.

Following a rigorous screening process, the Umekichi Tanaka Award, for 10 million yen, was presented to Professor Haruichi Kanaya of Kyushu University, and the Gold Award, for 2 million yen, was presented to Professor Seiji Ogo of Kyushu University. In addition, one research project received the Silver Award, and three Young Researcher Awards were presented.

The TANAKA Memorial Foundation undertakes programs designed to foster developments in new precious metal fields while contributing to the advancement of science, technology, and socio-economics for the overall enrichment of society. The research grant program was launched in FY1999 and has continued each year since with the goal of supporting the various challenges of the “new world opened up by precious metals.” This year, the program’s 25th year, the Umekichi Tanaka Award was established in honor of the founder, Umekichi Tanaka, who was instrumental in expanding the industrial use of precious metals, and researchers were invited to apply for the program in a wide range of fields where precious metals can make contributions to the research and development of new technologies, and research and development can be applied to precious metals. As a result, a total of 210 applications were received, and a total of 19 research grants of 19.9 million yen was awarded.

The names of the recipients of the Umekichi Tanaka Award and Gold Award, their research, and the reasons for their selection are below.

Umekichi Tanaka Award
Professor Haruichi Kanaya of Kyushu University
Research on bonding wire with electromagnetic wave shielding function
This research engages in development to make it possible to use bonding wire in the high-frequency band, which was not previous possible, by coating the surface of bonding wire with a magnetic thin film containing precious metals. It is an extremely groundbreaking advancement that further applies the unprecedented phenomenon of magnetic thin films under study. It is expected to be applied to general electric wires, and the great potential for the expansion of precious metals into new material fields was also highly rated.

Renowned Lithium Executive Brian Talbot to Join Atlas Lithium as Chief Operating Officer and Director

HIGHLIGHTS

Renowned lithium expert Brian Talbot has agreed to join Atlas Lithium as Chief Operating Officer and Member of the Company’s Board of Directors on April 1, 2024, a highly significant milestone.

Brian Talbot’s addition to Atlas Lithium’s team further enables the Company’s early revenue strategy targeting first lithium concentrate production in Q4 2024.

Boca Raton, Florida–(ACN Newswire – March 21, 2024) – Atlas Lithium Corporation (NASDAQ: ATLX) (“Atlas Lithium” or “Company”), a leading lithium exploration and development company, is pleased to announce the upcoming addition of Brian Talbot as Chief Operating Officer and a member of the Company’s Board of Directors effective April 1, 2024. Mr. Talbot is a renowned lithium sector executive with extensive development and operational expertise. This strengthening of the executive team comes on the heels of the Company’s early revenue strategy, with anticipated first revenues and production commencing in Q4 2024.

Mr. Talbot is considered one of the leading authorities in lithium globally and has an extensive track record as a technical and operational leader throughout his career with over 30 years of experience in mining operations. In particular, he has extensive experience in DMS (dense media separation) plant development and operation, having worked at major lithium companies where he built a strong track record of operational performance.

Most recently, Mr. Talbot was founder and director of RTEK International DMCC, a consulting firm that advises lithium developers and producers. From July 2022 to September 2023, Mr. Talbot was the Chief Operating Officer at Sigma Lithium Corporation (“Sigma Lithium”), a Canadian lithium producer with operations in Brazil. At Sigma Lithium, he oversaw the development of that company’s flagship Grota do Cirilo project from construction through commissioning and operations.

From 2017 to 2022, Mr. Talbot held positions as General Manager and Head of Australian Operations at Galaxy Resources, through mergers now part of Arcadium Lithium PLC, one of the world’s largest fully integrated lithium companies with a current market capitalization of approximately $4.7 billion. While at Galaxy Resources, Mr. Talbot was instrumental in increasing the production at Mt. Cattlin (a hard-rock lithium mine in Ravensthorpe, Western Australia) by 100%, which resulted in record production. Previously, from 2015 to 2017, Mr. Talbot was at Bikita Minerals in Zimbabwe, which owns and operates the longest running hard-rock lithium mine in the world.

With extensive experience designing, planning, building, and managing profitable mining operations globally, Mr. Talbot has a proven track record of driving operational excellence. His leadership has consistently improved efficiency, identified commercial opportunities, extended mine life, and maximized safety across diverse projects and regions. He holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering with Honors from the University of Witwatersrand, South Africa.

Martin Rowley, former Chairman of Galaxy Resources and later Allkem Limited, and now Lead Advisor to Atlas Lithium, commented, “I was able to persuade Brian to leave Bikita’s lithium operations in Zimbabwe and move to Australia to be responsible for the restart of operations at Galaxy Resources’ Mt. Cattlin. During the time we worked together at Galaxy, his work ethic, dedication, conscientious team building ability, and creativity underwrote the significant value increase to all Galaxy shareholders. I look forward to working with him again on realizing the undoubted potential of Atlas Lithium.”

“When speaking with global lithium investors, Brian Talbot is a name that is clearly revered as a ticket for success. The fact that Atlas Lithium can attract such exceptional talent speaks volumes about our culture and the potential of our project. We wholeheartedly welcome Brian to our Board of Directors and to lead our development and exploration technical teams,” said Marc Fogassa, the Company’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.

Brian Talbot added, “After visiting and studying in detail Atlas Lithium’s properties, I firmly believe there is a strong alignment between my expertise in expediting hard-rock lithium projects to production and the solid foundation that the Company has already built. This opportunity allows me to further advance Atlas Lithium’s strategic direction as a member of its Board of Directors, while also fostering my own professional growth as a leader in the lithium space.”

Arya Resources Ltd. (RBZ) Drills 3.5 Kilogram per Tonne (Kg. /t) Copper, 6.1 Kg. /t Nickel, and 0.247 Kg. /t Cobalt over 36.5 meters

Vancouver, British Columbia–(ACN Newswire – March 13, 2024) – Arya Resources Ltd. (TSXV: RBZ) (“Arya” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce the company has received results for its fall drill program on the company’s Dunlop Ni-Cu project in northern Saskatchewan, Canada. The program consisted of 8 drill holes totalling 1045m and was completed between December 7th and 17th, 2023.

Drill Hole AR 23-007 intersected, starting from 16 meters (m) :

  • 35.50 meters (m) of 0.32% Copper (Cu), 0.39% Nickel (Ni), and 161 grams/tonne (g/t) Cobalt (Co)
    • including 0.41% Cu, 0.52% Ni and 195 g/t Co over 17 m.

Drill Hole 008 intersected, starting from 18.5 m:

  • 36.5 m of 0.35% Cu, 0.61% Ni and 247 g/t of Co
    • including 0.64% Cu, 1.35% Ni and 518 g/t Co over 9.7 m.

The project is located 37km north of La Ronge via Provincial Highway 102 and then an 8km bush road heading west to Nemeiben Lake provides excellent access. A powerline runs along Provincial Highway 102 and would provide easy access to hydro for the project site.

Fall 2023 Drill Program: Dunlop Ni-Cu Project, Nemeiben Lake

Drillhole UTM E UTM N Elev(m) Azimuth Dip
AR23-007 489275 6130945 390.7 0.0 -55
AR23-008 489275 6130945 390.7 0.0 -70

The drill program was designed to test favourable Nickel-Copper targets identified within the historic Dunlop Ni-Cu Zone identified at the East Zone-the mineralization showed continuity and appears to be of similar nature to the zone intersected in the historic drilling, 3-5% disseminated and blebby pyrrhotite with trace to 1% pentlandite and chalcopyrite. Locally, on a meter scale, sulphide content increases to 30%.

Previous drilling in 1960-1980 identified a historical deposit totalling 18.11 million tonnes of Ni, and Cu mineralization of which 12.83 million tonnes were considered able to be mined as an open pit and the balance by underground mining. Grades ranged from 0.55% Ni – 1.46% Ni and 0.15% Cu – 0.39% Cu with assays of up to 0.35% Cr and 0.15% Co -Source Reference: SMDI#0749 Saskatchewan Mineral Database Identification Number- (see Company News Release: https://aryaresourcesltd.com/pdf/2023-03-02_NR.pdf)
