Q2 Metals Provides Drill Program Update at Its Mia Lithium Property, James Bay Territory, Quebec, Canada

Vancouver, British Columbia–(ACN Newswire – November 16, 2023) – Q2 Metals Corp. (TSXV: QTWO) (OTCQB: QUEXF) (FSE: 458) (“Q2” or the “Company“) is pleased to provide an update on Phase 1 of its inaugural drill program at its wholly owned, 8,668-ha Mia Lithium Property (the “Property“) located in the Eeyou Istchee James Bay Territory of Quebec.

The primary objective of Phase 1 of the drill program is to conduct initial drill testing of the Mia Lithium Exploration Trend (the “Mia Trend”), commencing at the Mia Zone on the west end of the Mia Trend and continuing along the nearly 10 km long trend, to the Carte Zone. Phase 1 of the drill program will continue with one active drill rig at the Mia Zone area and one active drill rig at the Carte Zone area.

It’s exciting to have our drill program underway to begin testing our initial targets at the Mia Trend,” said Q2 CEO & President, Alicia Milne. “With the success of our condensed mapping and sampling program in September and the cooperation of the weather, the drill program will continue into December.”

“Our initial drilling has vastly improved our understanding of the Property and as we expected, the results show a series of stacked, parallel pegmatite bodies in a similar geometry as the James Bay deposit of Allkem Inc.1,” said Q2 VP Exploration, Neil McCallum. “We are interpreting this positively as drilling has also provided confirmation that the pegmatites are shallowly-dipping at between 25 and 30- degrees.”

Cautionary Statement:

(1) Mineralization hosted on adjacent and/or nearby and/or geologically similar properties is not necessarily indicative of mineralization hosted on the Company’s properties. As stated in a Sept-25, 2023 news release, the James Bay Feasibility study reports a Total Mineral Resource of 110.2 Mt at 1.30% Li2O, including 54.3 Mt at 1.30% Li2O in the Indicated Category, and 55.9 Mt at 1.29% Li2O in the Inferred Category, with a cut-off-grade of 0.4% Li2O.

Since beginning Phase 1 of the drill program on October 23, a total of 12 drill holes have been completed at the Mia Zone (8) and Carte Zone (4) for a total of 2,506 metres.

The geological team has completed the cutting and logging of holes MIA23-001 to MIA23-005 and the samples are currently being prepared for dispatch to the lab for analysis. The details of the first five holes are reported in detail, herein (Table 1). The basic information of the other seven holes that have not yet been logged in detail and cut is included below (Table 2).

Drilling commenced at the Mia Zone on the western end of the Mia Trend with holes MIA23-001 and MIA23-003 drilled as a scissor pair to build a greater structural understanding of the Mia Zone and assist in the identification of dip and dip direction and resulted in several pegmatite intercepts.

Holes MIA23-002 and MIA23-004 were also drilled as a scissor pair approximately 100m to the north of MIA23-001 and MIA23-003 and resulted in several pegmatite intercepts.

Hole MIA23-005 was drilled from the same section lines as MIA23-001 and MIA23-003 to test alternate dip direction and resulted in several pegmatite intercepts.

All five holes intercepted pegmatites with visual indications of spodumene mineralization identified2. All five holes will be shipped to the lab for mineral analysis to confirm the presence of lithium mineralization.

Cautionary Statement:

(2) The presence of pegmatites does not confirm the presence of lithium (spodumene or other lithium minerals). Pegmatites are fractionated coarse grained igneous rocks commonly associated with lithium mineralization; however, many pegmatites do not contain mineralization. The presence of any mineralization can only be confirmed with assaying.

The launch YouTube video can be seen at https://youtu.be/_ZD-uHcGxtQ?si=S3X2lknqpXcHan6O

On the 18th May 2023, GMG announced that GMG and Rio Tinto had signed a binding Joint Development Agreement (“JDA”) with the goal of accelerating the development and application of GMG’s Graphene Aluminium-Ion batteries in the mining and minerals industry. Rio Tinto will contribute technical and operational performance criteria and A$6 million, in exchange for preferential access rights.

Rio Tinto has put the net zero transition at the heart of its business strategy: combining investments in commodities that enable the energy transition with actions to decarbonise their operations and value chains. The JDA seeks to support the accelerated development of GMG’s Graphene Aluminium-Ion Batteries for use in heavy mobile equipment and grid energy storage applications in the mining and mineral industry.

The JDA builds on the existing collaboration for Rio Tinto to explore the use of GMG’s Energy Saving and Energy Storage solutions (see Company announcement on 18th May 2022). The JDA aims to co-develop GMG’s Graphene Aluminium-Ion battery pouch cell into an initial battery pack/module proof of concept. Rio Tinto will seek to involve Original Equipment Manufacturers (“OEMs”), including Heavy Mobile Equipment OEMs, to work with GMG and Rio Tinto to align the battery pack development with end-use requirements.

Success could see performance enhancements for Rio Tinto, including faster charging and longer-life batteries for heavy mobile equipment and grid energy storage, as well as supporting Rio Tinto’s decarbonisation ambitions.

GMG will retain ownership of the intellectual property of the GMG Graphene Aluminium Ion Battery Pouch Cell and Battery Pack. Upon successfully completing the joint project, Rio Tinto will have the right to procure and use the batteries in their operations.

Rio Tinto Chief Scientist, Nigel Steward, said, “We are excited with the progress made with our partnership with GMG to date. We both share a vision of a low-carbon future and for Rio Tinto, it’s a crucial time to partner with companies like GMG to accelerate battery technology and innovation. We are looking forward to continuing our collaboration and leveraging our combined expertise and resources to develop a truly green battery that has the potential to improve the way we supply and store energy.”

GMG’s Managing Director and CEO, Craig Nicol, commented: “GMG is genuinely excited about our ongoing collaboration with Rio Tinto, one of the world’s largest mining companies who are committed to leveraging leading technologies for efficient and low carbon operations. We are happy with the progress to date with our joint development with Rio Tinto on the Graphene Aluminium-Ion battery and their applications.”

Jack Perkowski, GMG’s Chairman, commented: “I am very pleased with the progress made between GMG and Rio Tinto on battery development and look forward to seeing the next stages of the development program rollout. We are proud to be chosen as Rio Tinto’s partner.”

Background on the PCH Project

The PCH Project is located within the Tocantins Structural Province in the Brasília Fold Belt, more specifically, the Arenópolis Magmatic Arc. The PCH Project is 17,551.07 ha in size and located within the Goiás State of Brazil. It is classified as an alkaline intrusive rock occurrence with highly anomalous REE and Niobium mineralization. This mineralization is related to alkaline lithologies of the Fazenda Buriti Plutonic Complex and the hydrothermal and surface alteration products of this complex by supergene enrichment in a tropical climate. The positive results of the recent geochemical exploration work carried out to date indicates the potential for REEs within lateritic ionic adsorption clays and Niobium.

QA/QC

Reverse circulation (RC) drill holes are vertical and reported intervals are true widths. Each are sampled at one metre intervals, resulting in higher average sample sizes of 5-25 kg. A small representative specimen was taken from each sample bag and placed into a chip tray for visual inspection and logging by the geologist. Quartering was performed at Appia’s logging facility using a riffle splitter and continued splitting until a representative sample weighing approximately 500g each was obtained, bagged in a resistant plastic bag, labeled, photographed, and stored for shipment.

The samples were sent to the SGS laboratory in Vespasiano, Minas Gerais. In addition to the internal QA/QC of the SGS Lab, Appia has used its own control samples in each batch sent to the laboratory.

Quality control samples, such as blanks, duplicates, and standards (CRM) were inserted into each analytical run. For all analysis methods, the minimum number of QA/QC samples is one standard, one duplicate and one blank, introduced every batch which comprise a full-length hole. The rigorous procedures implemented during the sample collection, preparation, and analysis stages underscore the robustness and reliability of the analytical results obtained.

All analytical results reported herein have passed internal QA/QC review and compilation. All assay results of RC samples were provided by SGS Geosol, an ISO/IEC 17025:2005 certified laboratory, which performed their measure of the concentration of rare earth elements (REE) analyses by Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry (ICP-MS) analytical methods.

Atlas Lithium Secures US$ 20,000,000 Investment from Lithium Investors Including Lead Advisor Martin Rowley

HIGHLIGHTS

  • Renowned mining professional Martin Rowley leads investment round of US$ 20,000,000 for Atlas Lithium.

  • Mr. Rowley is a pioneer of the modern lithium industry and has over 40 years of experience as a founder, financier, and highly successful mining entrepreneur.

  • Mr. Rowley has the rare distinction of founding and growing two prominent multi-billion-dollar companies, one in lithium (Allkem) and the other in copper (First Quantum Minerals).

Boca Raton, Florida–(ACN Newswire – November 8, 2023) – Atlas Lithium Corporation (NASDAQ: ATLX) (“Atlas Lithium” or “Company”), a leading lithium exploration and development company, is pleased to announce the signing of an agreement for a key strategic raise of $20,000,000 from lithium focused investors led by Martin Rowley, former Chairman of lithium powerhouse Allkem Ltd. and a Lead Advisor to Atlas Lithium. In 1996, Mr. Rowley co-founded First Quantum Minerals Ltd., one of the largest copper companies in the world. In 2009, he recognized the potential of lithium and became Chairman of Lithium One Inc., and later Chairman of Galaxy Resources Ltd. after it merged with Lithium One. Mr. Rowley led significant growth in Galaxy, ultimately resulting in the merger with Orocobre Ltd. in 2021 which created global lithium producer Allkem Ltd. He retired as Chairman of Allkem in November 2022.

Atlas Lithium was offered and has entered into an agreement that establishes a US$ 20,000,000 three-year unsecured convertible note led by Mr. Rowley along with other experienced lithium investors (the “Investment”). The Investment carries a coupon of 6.5% per annum, is convertible to common stock at a price of $28.225 per share (a 25% premium to the volume-weighted average price for the three trading days prior to the signing of the Investment agreement), and can be repaid by the Company after one year under certain circumstances. Details on the Investment can be found on the Form 8-K which the Company has filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Marc Fogassa, Chairman and CEO of the Company, noted, “In the current environment where U.S. Treasuries yield close to 5%, the fact that Atlas Lithium was able to raise new capital at 6.5% is a strong outcome and an indication of investor interest. In addition, the conversion price is at a substantial 25% upside to the current stock price. However, the biggest benefit is to have the expertise of astute lithium investors, including Mr. Martin Rowley, aligned with our strategy.”

Martin Rowley commented, “Atlas Lithium has an excellent asset base and a dedicated and hard-working team complemented by a strong collaborative culture. With a highly supportive local community where it operates, this additional funding allows the Company to rapidly advance the development of its Neves Project in Brazil’s Lithium Valley. I am thrilled to deepen my involvement with Atlas Lithium and contribute my own resources to catalyze the company’s growth, helping to unlock the undoubted potential of its lithium assets.”

Appia Reports Extraordinary Assay Drill Results From Its PCH Ionic Clay Project, Brazil

Reverse Circulation Drill Hole Returns 24 Metres Of Mineralization Averaging 27,188 ppm or 2.72% Total Rare Earth Oxides From Surface

Toronto, Ontario–(ACN Newswire – October 31, 2023) – Appia Rare Earths & Uranium Corp. (CSE: API) (OTCQX: APAAF) (FSE: A0I0.F) (FSE: A0I0.MU) (FSE: A0I0.BE) (the “Company” or “Appia”)  is thrilled to announce a groundbreaking discovery of an exceptional high-grade Total Rare Earth Oxides (TREO) intersection extending the known area of Target IV. Hole PCH-RC-063 contains unique high grades and depth of mineralization, spanning an impressive 24 metres from top to bottom, and remains open at depth.

Summary:

  • 27,188 parts per million (ppm) or 2.72% TREO over 24 metres
    • Including 6,293 ppm or 0.63% Magnet Rare Earth Oxides (MREO)
    • Including 1,369 ppm or 0.14% Heavy Rare Earths Oxides (HREO)
  • PCH-RC-63 totalled 24 metres depth and is mineralized throughout the entire hole from surface, and remains open at depth.
  • Notably, several elements surpassed the upper detection limit of the assay method being used, and updated results will be reported once received.
  • Previously announced drill results – Press Release October 16th, 2023

“These drill results are the highest TREO grades detected on the PCH property to date,” commented Tom Drivas, CEO. “The data released today reveals an unprecedent concentration of TREO over the entire hole, and even more impressive is that the hole remains open at depth, suggesting significant potential for further mineralization.”

“This extraordinary RC hole confirms the extension of the initial Target IV area to the West and has increased the average thickness and total depth of the highly mineralized PCH ionic clay horizon,” said Stephen Burega, President. “These high concentrations of TREO are very uncommon, and may be the first indications of a larger high-grade mineralized zone. Lastly, we have not yet tested the total thickness of this zone as the RC drilling was stopped at the water table.”

“The consistency of grades is truly spectacular. At the bottom one metre of the hole, in sample F485895, we observed grades of 26,882 ppm of TREO, 5,897 ppm of MREO, and 1,245 ppm of HREO,” stated Carlos Bastos, Geology Manager and Appia’s Brazilian Qualified Person. “The assay results from PCH-RC-063 are highly promising, revealing sustained mineralization of essential elements including Terbium (Tb), Dysprosium (Dy), Neodymium (Nd), and Praseodymium (Pr). Notably, several elements surpassed the upper detection limit of the assay method being used, and updated results will be reported once received.”

In light of these findings, Appia has commissioned a comprehensive analyses for each rare earths oxide using the methods IMS95RS and ICP95A from SGS Geosol Lab to further understand the potential implications that this level of mineralization could have on the project.

Appia will provide timely updates to shareholders and the general public as assay results are received from the remaining 129 RC, 106 Auger, and 1 diamond drill holes.

QA/QC

Reverse circulation (RC) drill holes are sampled at one metre intervals, resulting in higher average sample sizes of 5-25 kg.
