To acquire stake in Hangzhou Bizike, Phoenitron Holdings has eye on trillion-dollar e-commerce market

HONG KONG, Apr 17, 2024 – (ACN Newswire) – Beijing Tecsun Venus Technology Limited, an indirect wholly-owned subsidiary of Phoenitron Holdings Limited (8066.HK), has entered into a capital injection agreement with Hangzhou Bizike Intelligence Technology Company Limited stating its intention to subscribe registered capital of Hangzhou Bizike. When the transaction is completed, Beijing Tecsun Venus will hold 20% of the enlarged registered capital of Hangzhou Bizike. It will mark the Group’s formal entry into the trillion-dollar e-commerce market in the PRC, as well as enable it to expand its business and broaden its income sources.

The e-commerce market in the PRC has continued to grow over the past few years. That and the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic have driven consumers to shop online and in turn speeded up growth of the country’s e-commerce market, short video platforms and live stream commerce, encouraging businesses to pursue offline-to-online transformation, with success hinging on online marketing and sales through online KOL livestreaming. According to the market research company eMarketer, the retail e-commerce market of the PRC is expected to continue its growth and reach approximately RMB28.8 trillion in 2027, indicative of its huge development potential.

To Phoenitron, the thriving e-commerce market presents it with an important opportunity that agrees with its growth strategy and aim to diversity business. Thus, the decision to acquire Hangzhou Bizike, which is in e-commerce business, to support the Group in attaining strong growth of its business in the future and of its ability to generate revenue. Hangzhou Bizike’s main business is to market and sell merchandises via livestreaming, and it also provides short video marketing and creates IP for KOLs. It started preparations for its livestreaming business at the end of 2022, focusing on three main highest ROI (Return-on-Investment) product categories, namely womenswear, health products and beauty products, and started to record revenue in 2023. In just 10 months between June 2023 and March 2024, the transaction value generated through livestreaming exceeded RMB90 million, which was rather remarkable.

At present, Hangzhou Bizike is serving a famous Chinese women’s clothing brands, while also actively expanding its own brands and already has the brand LULU OCEAN registered. The brand specializes in women’s sportswear for all seasons, such as yoga wear. Hangzhou Bizike plans to use funds from the transaction on livestreaming of its own proprietary brands to promote product sales. What’s noteworthy is the company’s senior management is made up of former senior personnel of e-commerce platforms such as “Alibaba” and the leading short-video platform “douyin”. Bringing with them profound relevant experience, they have seen Hangzhou Bizike claim the top spot among livestreaming platforms on the Tencent Video streaming website.

The capital injection will allow Phoenitron to make Hangzhou Bizike’s livestreaming capability its own, foray into e-commerce business, build its own proprietary brand and capitalize on the growth momentum of the retail e-commerce market of the PRC. It is clear that the Group, via pursuing its active business development plan, is continuously exploring growth opportunities in different fields and such efforts will open more room for growth to it in the future.

The Group has recently announced its 2023 results, with revenue up by a notable 35.3% to approximately HK$79.1 million, and turning around from net loss last year to net profit of approximately HK$4.3 million. Such results plus the capital injection will prompt the market to re-evaluate Phoenitron’s worth, acting as an important catalyst to the Group’s market performance in the short term. In the long run, at its continuous effort to expand business and enhance profitability, the Group will have a solid foundation for future development and its long-term value will continue to show and catch eyes.

Six Tips for building a website that really works for your business

SINGAPORE, Apr 17, 2024 – (ACN Newswire) – In today’s digitally connected world, consumers tend to expect every business to be fully searchable for product information, location, operating hours with an easily accessible website online. According to recent GoDaddy global research, 90% of small businesses surveyed said they felt that digitalization of their business was either very important or quite important to them.

With so much opportunity to share with your business with people in your local area and around the world, it is likely many businesses are considering how to build a stronger online presence this year.

GoDaddy shares six tips to help build a website to help a business be visible online and serve as a professional hub for your digital presence.

1. Consider the purpose of your website. When you know your business so well, it can be easy to get caught up in the design and functionality of what you know instead of what you would like consumers to know about your business. Take time to decide what is the purpose of your website and how do you want viewers to engage with it. It is a good idea to be very clear on the front page of your website on what your business offers. For example, a restaurant owner might want to show their location and menu images, while retailers might focus on showcasing their products for sale, and businesses selling experiences might consider videos and content as the best way to generate excitement before prompting a booking or inquiry.

2. Tell your story creatively. As a business owner, consider what might set you apart from everyone else in a similar business. Perhaps, it is the story behind why you do what you do. Videos, images, and blog content could be a great way for prospect customers to get to know your brand personality behind your business, as well as your story behind your business. This can lead to deeper connections with your target audiences which could positively impact the growth of your business and help to set you apart from the competition.

3. Be clear about your call-to-action. One way you could generate leads from a website is by having a clear call-to-action. The type of call-to-action you use could vary depending on the product or service your business offers. What would you like prospective and current customers to do on your website? Buy a product, learn more about your business by reading your blog, know where to find you on a map, see what your business does and how it might help the viewer solve a problem. It is important that your call-to-action be prominent on your website and encourages your customers to take a next step.

4. Start simply with lots of room for growth. It’s easy to get excited thinking about all the different website features and functions you could incorporate, but it’s important to pay close attention to what you really need to get started. A simple website is both easy and cost-effective to build, it can be easier for customers to navigate and come away with the information they were looking for.  Starting simply can also allow you to find time to focus on updating with fresh quality content, fast loading speeds, and mobile optimization.

5. Focus on your target audience. Have a clear idea about who your target audience is and focus on delivering an exceptional online experience for them. There are many things about your target audience that could influence the design, function, and content on your website. Some key questions could include: How old are they? What activities do they like to do? How do they communicate? How do they consume content? The answers to all these questions can help you create a website that resonates with your target audience and can effectively communicate how your products or services solve their problems or fit with their lifestyle.

6. Choose the right website tools and hosting provider: Once you have determined the strategy for your website, the next step is to build it. The good news is that today there are tech tools that help to make it quick and easy to build and maintain a website without having a technical degree. GoDaddy Website Builder for example, offers templates, images, features text and other information to help you easily build a professional website for your business.  You may choose to have your website hosted by the same provider where you have registered your domain, for a more integrated experience.Creating a home for your business on the internet can be a way to help you grow your business and stay engaged with your customers for many years to come. And now might be the best time to get started.

SinoMab BioScience preclinical results of SM17 on atopic dermatitis (AD) published on International Scientific Journal Allergy

HONG KONG, Apr 16, 2024 – (ACN Newswire) – SinoMab BioScience Limited (Stock Code: 3681.HK, “SinoMab” or the “Company”), a Hong Kong-based biopharmaceutical company dedicated to the research, development, manufacturing and commercialisation of therapeutics for the treatment of immunological diseases, is pleased to announce that the preclinical works of SM17, a humanised IgG4 monoclonal antibody against IL-17RB, is published on Allergy, an official journal of the European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (EAACI), on 9 April, 2024. This article compared the efficacy of SM17 in alleviating symptoms of atopic dermatitis (AD) with that of FDA approved JAK1 inhibitor in a preclinical setting (animal data), and confirmed that animals treated with SM17 exhibited a similar, if not better, therapeutic responses than those treated with the FDA approved JAK1 inhibitor. The publication in this international, peer-reviewed and well-cited journal Allergy establishes the scientific validity of SM17 on the treatment of AD, and highlights the potential of SM17 as a revolutionary product in this field.

SM17 is a novel, first-in-class (FIC) IgG4 monoclonal antibody targeting IL-17RB (also known as interleukin 25 (IL-25) receptor) with the potential for treating atopic dermatitis, asthma, idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis and other immunological and autoimmune disorders. In Phase I clinical trials (NCT05332834) performed in the US, SM17 showed a good safety profile with no drug-related serious adverse event (SAE) reported, demonstrating superiority over other JAK1 inhibitor in safety and tolerability.

AD is a chronic inflammatory skin disease that is characterised by intense itching and recurrent blisters. AD patients are known to have low treatment satisfaction and there exists a huge unmet medical need for a safer and more efficacious treatment option. AD is driven by Th2 immunity where IL-25 is one of the key mediators that drives the whole cascade of events leading to ILC2 and Th2 cell activation, resulting in inflammatory skin swelling, itching, skin irritation and other symptoms characteristic of AD. The Company has developed SM17, a IgG4 monoclonal antibody, that targets a co-receptor for IL-25 (also known as IL-17RB), with the purpose of blocking the early (upstream) events induced by IL-25, in the hope of achieving a differentiating treatment modality for AD that is fast-acting, efficacious and safe. Current products in the market are either fast-acting and efficacious but with safety concerns (JAK1 inhibitor) or relatively slow to respond and less efficacious yet with better safety profile (anti-IL-4Ra antibody). The Allergy article and the results of the US Phase I study scientifically validated the favourable efficacies and good safety profile of SM17 for treating AD.

In addition to AD, SM17 is found to exhibit therapeutic potentials for treating asthma, idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis and other type 2 immunological disorders. Studies to explore the therapeutic potential of these indications are on-going.

Dr. Shui On LEUNG, Executive Director, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of SinoMab said that: “SinoMab focuses on the development of innovative products through scientific excellence, with the goal of identifying differentiating products that address immunological diseases of unmet medical needs. We are pleased that evidence demonstrating the advantageous therapeutic potential of SM17 for treating AD is scientifically confirmed and endorsed by being published on the renowned peer-reviewed journal Allergy. The global market size for AD is estimated to reach US 27.68 billion by 2030, according to a new report by Grand View Research, Inc. Currently, the two most prescribed products for AD are the FDA approved anti-IL-4Ra antibody and JAK1 inhibitor. Studies indicated that JAK1 inhibitor is comparatively faster acting and achieving better response than anti-IL-4Ra antibody. However, JAK1 inhibitor has a black box warning, making anti-IL-4Ra antibody more receptive in the medical community due to its better safety profile. Our results indicated that SM17 appeared to have the best of both worlds: SM17 is comparable to (if not better than) JAK1 inhibitor in “time to response (anti-itching)”(unpublished data), and “therapeutic efficacies” in a preclinical model, as illustrated in the Allergy article, and comparable to (if not better than) anti-IL-4Ra antibody in tolerability and safety as demonstrated in our US Phase I study. SM17 is an innovative product with differentiating therapeutic and safety properties that compete favourably with existing treatment options. The preclinical results will be confirmed in human in a proof of concept clinical trial in AD patients that was initiated in April 2024.”

Autonomix Medical Inc. Covered in Benzinga Article Highlighting Innovative Nerve Treatment Technology

NEW YORK, Apr 16, 2024 – (ACN Newswire) – A new article on Autonomix Medical Inc. (NASDAQ: AMIX), featuring the company’s groundbreaking approach to peripheral nervous system (PNS) disorders, has been published by Benzinga. The Benzinga article delves into the critical role of the PNS in human health and highlights how Autonomix Medical is pioneering with its catheter-based microchip sensing array technology.

The article provides a comprehensive look at how Autonomix Medical is redefining treatment protocols for nerve-related disorders. By targeting the root causes associated with the PNS, rather than just managing symptoms, Autonomix Medical’s technology offers a novel solution that combines both detection and ablation of problematic nerves in a single procedure. This approach, likened to a “GPS” for nerve treatment, allows for precise identification and treatment of the nerves involved, enhancing the accuracy and effectiveness of procedures.

In a notable application, the company is focusing its efforts on managing pancreatic cancer pain — a condition notoriously difficult to treat due to its proximity to critical nerves. The technology’s high sensitivity in detecting neural signals—up to 3,000 times greater than existing technologies — promises not only to improve outcomes in pain management but also to significantly reduce the need for opioids, addressing a major public health challenge.

This exposure in Benzinga underscores the potential of Autonomix Medical’s technology to transform the field of electrophysiology and pain management, potentially tapping into a market exceeding $100 billion. As the company progresses with its clinical trials, the successful implementation of its technology could revolutionize treatment approaches for a wide range of diseases, offering hope to millions of patients worldwide.
