During the Reporting Period, the Group's revenue was approximately RMB972.8 million, representing an increase of 18.3% as compared with the corresponding period of the preceding year, which was mainly attributable to the increase in the number of student enrolments of Huashang College, Huashang Vocational College, Urban Vocational College and Urban Technician College of the Group and the revenue generated by the school acquired in the financial year ended 31 August 2022 (i.e. Huashang Technical School). Profit for the period attributable to owners of the Company rose by 18.9% YoY to approximately RMB298.7 million. HONG KONG, Apr 14, 2023 – (ACN Newswire) – Today, non-profit organization Children Social Network (CSN) held an initiation ceremony of its ALO Parent Education App/Platform System, together with an app demonstration and Parent-Teacher Association "Joy in Parenting" sharing session. These were held successfully in C.C.C. Heep Woh Primary School (Cheung Sha Wan) in front of government officials, together with leaders from education, social welfare and business sectors as well as parents. All witnessed the initiation of Hong Kong's first parent education app/platform system, bringing together social resources and uniting forces to promote parent education and to cultivate the holistic development of children.

ALO was launched by the non-profit organization CSN in 2021. It is the first parent education digital platform in Hong Kong. The word ALO itself means "Nurturing, Nursing and Nourishing" in Latin – reflecting parents' desire for bringing up of their children. The app/platform system is supported by a team of local education professionals who create authoritative, structured, and interesting multimedia positive parenting content aligned with the Curriculum Framework on Parent Education launched by the Education Bureau (EDB). Stable organic growth and increased number of student enrolments
During the Period under Review, the Group realized stable growth in both revenue and gross profit, with the former increasing 19.9% year-on-year to approximately RMB471.8 million and the latter up by 20.9% year-on-year to approximately RMB238.0 million. The significant increase was mainly attributable to the increase in number of student enrolments at Guangzhou Huashang College, Guangzhou Huashang Vocational College, Urban Vocational College of Sichuan, and Urban Technician College of Sichuan as well as the revenue and gross profit generated from the acquisition of Guangdong Huashang Technical School in the financial year ended 31 August 2022.

The Group has been widely recognized for its quality school operations. The number of enrolled students of schools in and outside China of the Group recorded different extents of year-on-year growths. For the three months ended 30 November 2022, the number of enrollments of the Group amounted to 84,404, a year-on-year increase of 13,667 students. There are mainly two sources of growth: First, the number of enrolled students of all schools in China recorded a growth, among all, the number of enrollments in Urban Technician College of Sichuan grew by about 2,200 or 20.2% as compared with that for the corresponding period of last year; Second, the number of enrollments of Guangdong Huashang Technical School ("Huashang Technical School") acquired in the financial year ended 31 August 2022 was approximately 6,700 (for the three months ended 30 November 2021: nil).
